Trinity Skills for Life

Monday to Friday 9.00am - 3.15pm (There are after hour clubs Tuesday/Wed/Thursdays which finish at a later time)

Trinity Skills for Life is a training provider and day care provision for young adults with learning difficulties/disabilities aged 18+ based in Stone, Staffordshire.

Our varied curriculum offers students lots of opportunities to develop their skills in a supportive environment to enable greater independence and confidence. We encourage social development and our sessions facilitate this in small friendly groups.

We also provide a pathway to employment which supports and trains students to gain a work placement in the community.

Additional services that we provide includes P.A support and our Short Break respite service.

Mission Statement

We aim to provide a supportive yet challenging experience for young people with learning difficulties/disabilities, by encouraging independence, confidence, self-esteem and a sense of value. The are encouraged to take responsibility for themselves and the wider community, and to achieve their true potential.

Job Vacancy and Voluntary Work information

We advertise job opportunities on our website, Facebook and via local social media outlets but welcome and offer work placement opportunities to those seeking to gain experience in the social care sector. All staff and volunteers receive full induction and training. We train and support students and placements from local Sixth Form colleges, and work with Keele and Staffordshire Universities training Social Workers.

Trinity Skills for Life head quarters is a modern facility adapted specifically for the needs of our Students. See below for some of our amenities

  • Allotment Plot

For our Short Break service and some of our Independent Living sessions we utilise a house in the community that can accommodate several students at a time.

Please note that not all of our services are wheelchair accessible.

Getting a Place at Trinity Skills for Life.

 We host regular Open Events that are advertised on our Website and also welcome interested individuals and their families/carers to come to Trinity Skills to meet Staff/Students, enjoy a tour and gain more information about our Services. If you wound like to come to look around, please call the office on 01785 818877 to arrange.

If you decide that you would like to attend Trinity Skills for Life we will arrange a taster day for you and ask you to fill out an Application Form.

Your needs will be assessed so that we can determine what sort of support you will require, for example 1:1, 1:2, 1:3, 1:4 and from here a costing will be available to you.

Most people choose to access us via Direct Payments or PIPS whilst others choose to self fund
