Phoenix Independent School provides personalised learning pathways for young people leading to accredited qualifications.

Each young person’s personal learning plan is tailored carefully to allow achievement in line with expected progress based on prior attainment data and as identified through school target setting.

Our team is made up of qualified teachers and staff with experience of leadership, classroom teaching special educational needs and English as an additional language in mainstream and special schools.  We have specialist teachers in English, Maths, Science, History, Sport, Drama, ICT, Business Studies & Economics who are all well equipped to offer appropriate and challenging teaching at all levels.

We also offer tailored learning pathways for students with Education Health and Care Plans, integrating appropriate intervention support relating to Education Health and Care Plan objectives.

We have a dedicated welfare team to coordinate student referrals and ensure appropriate student access to external support agencies. The team also liaise closely with Social Care and the Family Matters Team, implementing and overseeing the Early Help Process as necessary.
