Approach - My Day My Way Service
We recognise that some older people with dementia or related health issues may still wish to enjoy some of their favourite interests and pastimes with a little bit of help and support.
The My Day My Way service is very unique and diverse as it is led by the person affected by dementia. Often people with a dementia diagnosis feel they do not have the confidence to carry on with their favourite interests or hobbies, but we aim to match them with support workers who share similar interests and will actively encourage and support the person to start those activities again.
We currently have people who are supported in wildlife walks, photography, shopping and gardening. We have in-home files which give details of the support and are a handy way for carers to find out what their loved ones have been doing during their session.
Please phone 01782 214999 or email enquiries@approachstaffordshire.co.uk for information and referrals
